In our experience, the list of income, deductions and capital transactions covers the majority of our clients but if you have other income, tax deductions or gains/losses not listed, you may need to include those on your tax return.

HM Revenue & Customs must receive your tax return by 31 January 2016 to avoid a penalty.

At HRBS we submit all tax returns and tax computations online. The earlier you prepare your accounts and tax return the better. You can claim any refunds promptly to help your cashflow and where tax is due; you will have plenty of time to plan your tax payments.

Do not leave it to the last minute. All of the information you need for your tax return should be available by 31 July.

Your 2014/15 tax return is for the tax year 6 April 2014 to 5 April 2015. P60s and bank interest certificates are usually available in April/May and P11Ds provided by employers in June/July. You do not need to include your ISA interest or dividends on stocks and shares ISAs.

If you are self employed, your accounting records should be up to date as soon as possible after your year end. This will help you keep up to date with your business’ profitability and help with tax planning.

When you have added all the necessary documents, just send us an email with the information, or if you are using our shared dropbox facility, an email saying that the personal-tax\2014-15 folder is complete and we will prepare your tax return and tax computation for your approval and authorisation to submit online to HM Revenue & Customs.
